The Explosive Art Of Stick Vega

Some people make art using paint; others draw. Artist Stick Vega uses gun powder to create pop art.

He discovered the potential of gun powder for art while on a business trip in China where he saw the work of Cai Guo-Qiang, a contemporary Chinese painter. Hear about his journey from businessman to explosive artist. Boom!

Building A Family Business Around The Nyckelharpa

Earl Holzman’s life has always revolved around music. He met his wife DoAnn folk dancing in the early 1980s, and their son Ian Holzman became a fiddle player. It’s only fitting that Earl would later become a luthier, a person who builds stringed instruments.

Over time, as Ian began playing the nyckelharpa, Earl built a family business around the Swedish folk instrument. Earl became an expert at building these traditional instruments that have 16 strings with 37 wooden keys. Watch how this craftsman mastered the art of building the nyckelharpa!
Out In The Field
Inside The Studio With Wosart
Producer Trevor Keller recently went to visit artist Jon Wos for an upcoming story. At birth, Jon was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a congenital condition which makes him more susceptible to fractures due to weakness in his bones. After discovering art as a creative outlet, Jon become an award-winning artist working in several art forms, including glass art and oil painting.
