Greenwood Singers, under the direction of Founder & Artistic Director Robert de Frece, presents Oh Canada! - A Sesquicentennial Spring Celebration on Friday, April 7, 2017 at All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral (10035 103 Street) at 8:00 PM. The choir will be joined by pianist Helen Stuart. This concert is proudly presented by Snyder & Associates LLP and CKUA Radio. This concert concludes the choir’s 37th Season.

Greenwood Singers celebrates Canada’s 150th Anniversary and the arrival of spring with a program featuring the music of Canadian composers Healey Willan (Rise Up, My Love, My Fair One), Ronald Hannah (“Song of Weeds”) and Stephen Chatman (An Elizabethan Spring) and arrangements of Canadian folk songs by Canadian composers Keith Bissell, Harry Somers, and Donald Patriquin. The concert will include three madrigals for the coming of spring by the Elizabethan composer, Thomas Weelkes, and will close with selections from the iconic Canadian musical, Anne of Green Gables.
