PTA Meeting
Tuesday, April 18 at 7 p.m.


Please join us for our April PTA General Membership meeting. This is a very important meeting as we will be voting on next year's PTA Board! Childcare will be provided. Agenda coming soon.

Thank you to our amazing Nominating Committee (Kelly van Valey, Tracy Kays and Holly Young) for all their hard work in finding qualified candidates for the 2017-2018 PTA Board.

The nominations for the 2017-2018 PTA Board are as follows:

President: Tyana Kelley
Treasurer: Tammy Cranwell
Secretary: Lindsay McGee
VP of Communications: Andrea Vandehey
VP of Fundraising: Emily Lyons
VP of Events: Gail Schmidt & Talia Burrell
VP of Programs: Emily Walker

Elections will take place at our April 18th General Membership PTA Meeting. If you are still interested in being part of the board, you may come forward and nominate yourself from the floor the night of elections.

Spring Fundraiser

 
Our Spring Fundraiser items are coming in! Pick-up Day will be Monday, April 17th from 3:15 - 6:30 pm in the SkyBridge. ALL orders must be picked up during this time window due to refrigeration needs of the cookie dough. Please be patient as the PTA will be sorting through hundreds of orders!  If you have any questions, please contact our VP of Fundraising, Tanya, at littlecedarspta@gmail.com.

Carnival Volunteers!
 

We did it! Thank you LCE volunteers. Because of you, this fun event can move forward! We got the minimum number of volunteers so planning is now in full swing! We still need some more help so if you were thinking about signing up but haven't yet, we still need you!

Donations Needed!

The LCE Silent Auction will be back once again this spring, along side our Spring Carnival (Friday, April 28th). We are asking for donations of services or themed baskets. If you have something to donate or know somebody that would, please contact our VP of Fundraising, Tanya, at tjaegel@hotmail.com. Thank you!

Staff Appreciation Week 

May 1st - 5th

We hope you can help make this a special week for the wonderful LCE staff!

Monday, May 1st: Teacher Appreciation Day: Bring your teacher, Mr. D and Mr. Hanson a handwritten note of thanks!

Tuesday, May 2nd: Office Staff Appreciation Day: Bring a flower for the office staff!

Wednesday, May 3rd: Specialist Appreciation Day: A thank you note for specialists: Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Gellar, Mrs. Vanhorn, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Peterson, Ms. Thurston AND school helpers (aides, custodians, kitchen ladies)!

Thursday, May 4th: Classroom Supply Day: Bring a classroom supply for your teacher and/or favorite school helper (Speech, Reading, Counseling, etc.)!

Friday, May 5th: Bus Driver Appreciation Day: Bring a note or treat for your bus driver!

Golden Acorn Award


Do you know of someone that goes above and beyond at our school to volunteer, shows dedication to our students, and you want them to know they are appreciated? If so, please send us their name as we are looking to recognize this year's Golden Acorn recipient(s). 
 
What is a Golden Acorn you may wonder? This is a very special award given by our PTA for individuals who have given outstanding volunteer service and shown dedication to our children & youth. Candidates are required to be PTA members, demonstrate service to all students, and their volunteer service generally extends into the community in addition to their service through PTA & the school environment.
