EUROPE: Glyphosate not classified as a carcinogen by ECHA
ECHA’s Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) agrees to maintain the current harmonised classification of glyphosate as a substance causing serious eye damage (H318) and being toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H411). RAC concluded that the available scientific evidence did not meet the criteria to classify glyphosate as a carcinogen, as a mutagen or as toxic for reproduction.

FRANCE: Re-implementation of plant protection products saving certificates ('CEPP')
The law No.2017-348 of 20 March 2017 concerning the fight against agricultural land grabbing and the development of biocontrol re-implements the plant protection products saving certificates (‘CEPP’). Indeed in December 2016, the Ordinance No.2015-1244 of 7 October 2015 regarding the experimental CEPP procedure was called off by the Council of State for procedural reasons further to an appeal of pesticides producers and distributors.
