One Great Hour of Sharing 01-Mar thru 16-Apr:  
March 1 through April 16, 2017 PCUSA will focus on One Great Hour of Sharing.  A gift to One Great Hour of Sharing enables the church to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed.  If you feel called to support this ministry, you may do so through the pew envelopes during worship or you can donate online here.  To find out more about this ministry please visit the website.


Come Celebrate our new Pastor!:
On Sunday April 23 after worship, we'll gather at the Daniels's home to celebrate and get to know our new pastor.  The Connections team will provide Chicken, dessert and drinks but would like those that can to provide a side dish.  You can RSVP during worship, or by contacting Heather Daniels 


Missions Committee Supporting Helen Wright Center:
The Presbyterian Women of Kirk is collecting funds to buy 36 new mattresses for the Helen Wright Center in Raleigh.   The KOHS Missions Committee has made the decision make a donation to purchase a mattress.  If any of you would like to made individual donations, please make the check payable to KOK and write “Wright Center mattress fund in the memo line.


KOHS Missions team helping with Habitat for Humanity:

Saturday April 8, the Missions Team will participate in the dedication of Holly Springs Habitat House #2.  If you’d like more information on how to volunteer or help with our Missions activities, you can contact Mary Bethel or Mary Tucker.



Holly Springs Food Cupboard Help Needed:
The Holly Springs Food Cupboard could use assistance in picking up fruit on Wednesday’s from "Edible Eats" in Holly Springs for the Food Cupboard.  If you can help with that, please see Mary Tucker or  Arnold Frazier.

ONGOING ACTIVITIES

• Love in Action (Brown Bag Bring Back):   This is an easy way for you to serve and share with others in our community.  With Brown Bag Bring Back you will receive a bag with a note highlighting a particular need in our area following worship service once per month.  The note will include a list of items you can provide to help fill that need.  Simply fill the bag with what you are able to provide and return it when you come to worship service the following week.  Contact Mary Tucker if you have any questions jeffandmarytucker@gmail.com .

• Love in Action:  Serve our community and support the Missions team by donating food for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard any Sunday  or helping with the milk supply runs on Thursdays.
• Worship service Greeters:  If you have a warm smile, outgoing personality, and early to church we could use you to greet our worship goers on Sunday mornings.  See Bob Morris with the Worship Team.

• Come Join the Kirk Youth!:  If you are in 6th-12th grade, and would like to join Youth Group, contact Pastor Amanda (agolbek@kirkofkildaire.org) with questions.  Youth Group 5:30-7:30 pm, Great Hall/Fellowship Hall

• Sign up for Remind: 
  As we continue to gather for activities in our busy schedules, we have multiple outlets for communication (newsletter, Facebook, etc…) we’d like to try a new way to quickly communicate our activities since most of us have cell phones.  The Remind service is used by many educational groups to notify via text service and we’d like to try this for KOHS to make sure we get the word out quickly and to as many people as we can.  Instructions to sign up below:
