Our interns work alongside staff and volunteers, bridging the gap from despair to hope for people suffering under the weight of crisis, poverty, serious illness, and homelessness.
Mitzvah Circle Foundation’s internship program operates during the Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer semesters.
We’re currently interviewing for our Summer program.
There are three internship tracks at Mitzvah Circle Foundation.
Non-Profit Administration Interns assist with outreach, program administration, volunteer coordination, operations, special projects and events, and more. Interns will work directly with staff, volunteers, and other social service organizations under the guidance of our foundation's Executive Director and Director of Community Engagement.
Social Work/Human Services Interns speak to the people we serve who are experiencing homelessness, poverty, serious illness, and hunger. Interns develop intake skills, collect data, and provide support and assistance to people during times of personal challenge. Interns will speak by phone with individuals, families, and other social service organizations under the guidance of our foundation’s Executive Director.
Facilities Management Interns assist in the coordination of incoming and outgoing materials in a warehouse that facilitated the movement of approximately 2 million items to over 40,000 recipients in 2016. Interns will track and organize warehouse contents, keep warehouse clean and neat, identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and tracking systems and learn about forecasting, inventory management, logistics and donor engagement.
