2017 BLC VOLUNTEER REBATE
Dear Bayswater Lacrosse Member,
Bayswater Lacrosse Club is currently one of the premier lacrosse clubs within Australia and boasts some of the best facilities within the lacrosse community. The Club has had some great success over the past decade with a number of premierships, Australian Club Championships and representation at State and National tournaments
This season, two of the Committee’s main focuses are:
- Growing junior lacrosse participation and development through our Modcrosse program, junior competition and school clinics with the aim to train and secure players for a bright playing future; and
- Upgrading Club facilities to create a high quality clubhouse for all players and members alike.
These aims can only be achieved with the help of club members throughout the season. Bayswater Lacrosse Club is fortunate enough to have some wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to make our club great; however, we always require additional volunteers to ease the burden on Committee members and to help achieve an even brighter future for the Club.
The Committee, in deciding the fees for the 2017 season, has elected to reduce all player fees. This is possible partly due to a decrease in Lacrosse WA fees but also due to continual fundraising efforts of the Club. This season will also require Club members to provide assistance in fundraising activities to cover the shortfall between our playing costs and fees collected and to provide additional funds towards ongoing junior development.
Please see above the Bayswater Lacrosse Club fee structure for the 2017 season.
Volunteer Rebate
Commencing in the 2017, as an incentive to encourage Club members to participate in volunteering, the Committee has elected to introduce a Volunteer Rebate.
The Volunteer Rebate will provide eligible volunteers with their end of season windup ticket free of charge, or, a ‘Baysie Bucks’ voucher to spend on Club merchandise or at the BLC bar or canteen.
To be eligible for a Volunteer Rebate you must be a financial playing member who has paid your fees before 28 May 2017 and participate in any, or a combination of, the following Club volunteering activities:
- Coaching for a minimum of 6 games; or
- Serving as a Committee member for a minimum six months; or
- Timekeeping or scoring for a minimum of 6 games; or
- Undertaking a minimum of 5 hours (not necessarily all at once) working in the bar (RSA Required) or canteen, participating in Club cleaning and busy bees or assisting with a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle or other fundraising activities; or
- Other volunteering work deemed appropriate and approved by the Committee.
We hope that this incentive will encourage BLC members to volunteer throughout the year for various activities. We need your help in making Bayswater Lacrosse Club the best club in Australia. Your assistance throughout the season would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions in relation to the above, please feel free to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Jesse Bowland Curtis
President
