2023-24 Haverford High School and Middle School Instrumental Music Programs and Color Guard Registration
Hello Band, Orchestra, and Color Guard Families (aka BOPs members),
Please complete the registration for the 2023-34 school year before the first day of school. We use your information for communication purposes only. Your student will receive important updates and reminders from their directors and coaches and BOPs will send out volunteer requests and reminders. The activity fee allows BOPs to provide support and resources to student musicians and the music directors that are not covered by the Haverford School District. Note that "HHS" refers to High School and "HMS" refers to Middle School.
Privacy: BOPs values your privacy and does not distribute personal information outside of this organization.
PLEASE READ INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
You will be able to register up to 3 children on one form.
Fill in your child/children's name, grade and each student's performance group(s).
Read the uniform agreement and please note the uniform care instructions. You will be charged for uniform damages.
Indicate your permission for the photo/audio/video recording for minors.
If you are using a trip account to pay the fee, please contact tripaccounts@hhsmusic.org
Forms of payment accepted: Check made payable to "Haverford BOPs", Paypal treasurer@hhsmusic.org, Venmo @Doghouse_BOPs, and student trip account.
If you would like to include a second parent/guardian and their contact information, please refer to the link provided in the registration email.
You will receive a confirmation email once you submit the form.
Activity Fee Amounts:
$60 High School Band or Orchestra
$100 High School Band or Orchestra AND Competition Band
$100 High School Color Guard
$20 7th and 8th Grade Band or Orchestra
$0 Third or more student (s)
Registration and payment is due prior to your student's uniform fitting. If you send payment with your child, please label the envelope clearly with your child's name. If you are unable to submit payment prior to uniform fittings, please contact Ms. Marino, Band Director, or Ms. Kang, Orchestra Director, to make alternate arrangments.
Haverford High School and Middle School Uniform Agreement: Please read and click below to indicate that you have read and understood the information below. All students will receive a copy of the uniform care instructions at uniform fittings.
How to care for uniforms:
+Always carry your uniform to and from school on a hanger in the garment bag provided.
+Hang your uniform in a well-ventilated area to air out before returning it to the garment bag.
+NEVER store a wet or damp uniform in the garment bag. It will create mildew and the uniform will need to be replaced. Mildew is NOT removable by any cleaning process.
+Fasten all buttons, snaps, and zippers before storing.
+Fold pants along the crease and hang carefully. This will help the uniform keep its shape.
+Uniforms must be professionally dry cleaned when needed. Uniforms CANNOT be washed. Only skirts and short sleeve black tops can be washed in cold water on delecate and air dry.
+Keep hat boxes OPEN at all times except for when carrying to school and performances.
+Do not attempt to clean hats - seek help from the uniforms coordinator with odd stains or marks.
+Shoes should be labeled with your name. They should be kept clean and shined at all times.
+Marching and Competition Bands: rain gear and plumes will be kept at school and distributed when needed.
Any part of the uniform lost or damaged must be replaced at the STUDENT’S EXPENSE.
BAND: Marching/Concert Jacket $200 each, Pants $75, Gauntlets $40, Hat $45, Hat Box $15, Plume $20
ORCHESTRA AND WIND ENSEMBLE: Tuxedo Jacket $175, Shirt $45, Tuxedo Pants $75, Skirt $75
BOTH: Cummerbund $25, Garment Bag $15, Bow Tie $5
By clicking below in the registration form you are agreeing that you have read the information above, are going to take proper care of the uniform(s) in your possession, and will pay replacement costs for anything damaged or lost.
Photo/Audio/Video Release for Minors The videotapes, photographs, motion picture film, and/or electronic images for which my child posed, and/or audio recordings made of my child, may be used by Haverford Band & Orchestra Parents (BOPs) in whatever way they desire, including for television. Photographs, films, recordings, electronic images, and the plates, tapes, and/or software from which they are made shall be their property, and they shall have the right to duplicate, reproduce, and make other uses of such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images, plates, tapes, and/or software as they may desire free and clear of any claim whatsoever on my part.
