Meet our new Modern Apprentice!

We are delighted to welcome another member of staff to the 1LET team. Julia Urlicka joined the team as a Business Administration Trainee just last month and is working towards her SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. Although new to the team Julia is learning fast and is highly organised! When not at work Julia likes spending her time outdoors and looking after her new kitten Max!

New tenancy regime: Impact on existing tenancies
Legal opinion had been divided on whether a short assured tenancy which is renewing on a contractual basis (typically on a month to month basis) would become a new style Private Residential Tenancy (PRT) at the first contractual renewal after the new tenancy legislation is implemented (expected to be in December 2017).

SAL has been in discussions with the Scottish Government on this matter and have reported that the government has confirmed it will issue legislation to ensure that tenancies of this type will not become PRTs. They will continue as short assured tenancies in perpetuity until terminated by the landlord or tenant.
