It's time for the annual IMS
7th grade mock trial program!

Click here to help today on  April 27th, April 28th or May 1st.

Every seventh grader participates in this program - it is run through seventh grade social studies classes. We can only make this work with parent volunteers. You don't have to have a seventh grader to volunteer!  We even have parents of alumni come back because they enjoy it so much!  If you are a lawyer or work in the legal field that's great, but we also need parents who can listen to kids and help them with public speaking and otherwise support them. No prior experience needed - you will get a prep email with all you need to know.

Can you help out?  If so, please click here to sign up!

Additionally, please forward onto other seventh grade parents to let them know about the program and the volunteer opportunity.  If you have any questions, contact Karen Treon at  602-550-6523 or ktreon@gmail.com.

ARCADIA ONE LUNCH VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED FOR 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR

Do you have an eighth grader headed to Arcadia?  Arcadia High School has a great tradition - it is called One Lunch.  Everyone eats lunch at the same time at Arcadia - all students and all teachers.  This allows for students to get extra help, clubs to meet, meetings to be held, events to happen, tickets to be sold . . . and no one misses out.  It is one of the many great things about Arcadia.  It only works because parents volunteer to help at One Lunch

Parent volunteers sign up to help every other week to assist the lunch staff - either in the cafeteria, in the kiosk by the auditorium, or at the outside food cart.  The time commitment is from 11:40 - 12:30 on your assigned day.  You can sign up to work every other week or you can sign up with a friend to job share - which means you work just once a month.  It is fun and a great way to catch a glimpse of what's happening at Arcadia!  Even if you can't commit to a regular schedule, we are always in need of substitutes.  If you are interested in either a regular position or being on the sub list, please contact Heidi McNeil Staudenmaier at hstaudenmaier@swlaw.com or Karen Treon at ktreon@gmail.com.  GO TITANS!
AzMERIT - Arizona's Statewide Achievement
Assessment for English Language Arts
and Mathematics

Here is the schedule for upcoming test dates:

April 25 & 26 – 6th Reading and Math Part 1 and Part 2
April 27 – May 3 – Make-ups

It is a necessity for students to be at school and on time. Although there are make-up days, it is always much better for students to test with their class. It is also beneficial for students to get enough sleep and eat a good (protein filled) breakfast.

Please help  by encouraging your child to give it their best, take their time and review their work to check for completeness and accuracy.

Students should remember to bring their own earbuds for use during testing.

To learn more about AzMERIT, please click here to find resources for students and families.
