Clay Business Update
Happy Spring! Just a few reminders about the new improvements to our clays.
1) After hours of testing, we have decided to switch our grog from flint grog to mullite grog. It may feel a little different but it will make your results more consistent.
2) To make our Eric’s clay body (low fire white) more versatile, we are adding sand to it. It will not affect its smooth feeling for throwing but will improve the tooth for handbuilding. If you are a fan of our Sculpture Lowfire (SL) clay, no need to worry, our improved Eric’s will be a great substitute. SL will not be available as we gather feedback about the improved Eric’s).
3) We have switched the C&C ball clay used in our white clays to a variety of Kentucky Tennessee (KT) ball clays. The quality control at KT clays is higher with less contamination issues.
