Hey everybody,
I'm happy to report that, since embarking on my journey of full-time self employment doing poker media work six weeks ago, things have been off to an excellent start. Over the past month, we've released a record number of new articles and have seen an increase of 25% to our monthly traffic average. Here's hoping the upwards trajectory continues; thank you all so much for your support!
There's plenty of great poker content in the pipeline that my contributors and I are really excited about releasing, including more interviews, op-eds, strategy pieces, and feature stories. Plus - and you guys are the first to know - we're about to publish the first in a series of 10 new East Coast poker room reviews, to be contributed by Just Hands Poker's Jack Laskey. Keep your eyes peeled; I know you're going to enjoy them.
Of course, we're all aware that the World Series of Poker is once again on the horizon. At the moment our plans are still somewhat up in the air, but we have high hopes... so, we'll issue an update on that next month.
"RUNNING WELL" UPDATE: 1,000 km charity poker challenge
I've run 310 km thus far, which is slightly behind the pace I'd originally set for myself, but I'm still determined to make it to 1,000 km by the end of the year and donate a full $1,000 to Kids Kicking Cancer.
Special thanks this month go out to Poker Hall of Famer Linda Johnson who was so kind to pledge 25 cents per kilometer to the cause.
Thanks to everyone's pledges (and assuming I can make it to the finish line!), we're currently poised to donate a grand total of $2,260 by the end of 2017!

WPT TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS: FEATURES, INTERVIEWS & MORE
I had the good fortune of attending the recently completed WPT Tournament of Champions festivities at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
While there, I had the pleasure of meeting and conducting video interviews with a number of top World Poker Tour personalities, including CEO Adam Pliska, co-commentator Vince Van Patten, lead anchor Lynn Gilmartin, and Executive Tour Director Matt Savage.
