Resurrection Day!

Lord on this day we celebrate
As we reflect on You
We see the sorrow and the joy
Your love that's pure and true
We're thankful for Your life and death
We're thankful for the cross
We're grateful You arose again
To save and heal the lost
That You would suffer all You did
Though sin You never knew
Brings me back to my knees again
To thank and worship You
Whenever I go through tough things
I try to keep in mind
The difference that three days can make
From death till joy I find
I hold on tightly to the hope
And to Your Word so true
Until I make it through my cross
And rise again like You
I take communion in Your Name
And let it Wash my soul
As I bask in the knowledge that
Your Blood has made me whole
I cry aloud for loved ones lost
As on my knees I pray
I trust for their salvation too
It just might be today
I look ahead to victory
Now when I suffer loss
Because I know You paid the price
That day upon the cross
You did just what You said you'd do
You paid for all man's crime
As You erased all sin and shame
Redeeming for all time
The power of that blood stained cross
And of that empty tomb
Bought for us life eternally
As Heaven made us room
I love You for eternity
And more than words can say
I thank and praise You for it all
