Distro news / upcoming zine events / call for submissions / recommendations

Goodbye May, hello June.

Hello everyone! Here's the first of your monthly round up of lots of wonderful ziney related news.

May was a bit of a whirlwind for me, with 5 weekends in a row of flogging my wares - including at Glasgow Zine Fest, DIY Cultures and Bent Fest in London. It feels a bit strange not to be awkwardly sitting behind a table, seeing lots of lovely zinester faces this weekend.

So for distro news: takin' a little break from tabling for a while, but there's lots of new things up on the shop - too many to mention, really.

Please, if you're in the UK, remember to vote this week. June 8th! My advice for that day is to do your bit, then ignore the news and social media for a while, and do something nice for yourself, hang out with some good pals. That's what I'll be doing. We can hope for the best, but if it all doesn't go our way, remember that we have each other, our communities. We can organise to resist & create the change we want to see. Voting isn't the end, and we're not powerless.

OTHER NICE THINGS

Em Ledger is doing her last print run of her wonderful zine Get Real -about a very real journey through a difficult few years in her life - which strives to a future of hope through rounds of PMA, self care and real talk. We recommend you grab one while you can! Available via her store here.

My pal Em is selling these lovely Manchester Work Bee badges on her etsy (along with other things you might like) - with profits going to the victim's fun of the attack the city had recently.

Black Lodge Press have been killin' it with their merch lately! I'm especially in love with their MAKE ZINES ~ DESTROY FASCISM tote bags + fuck everyone that ever voted tory patches.

I saw so many good things at Bent Fest! If you haven't already, I especially think you should check out Spook School, ShoppingDivide & DissolveNachthexen & Dream Nails ❤️

If you have a Zine Thing that you'd like me to promo, please just get in touch. I'm also always looking for tips/resources on: zine libraries, distro info, physical places that sell zines around the UK, your fave place to print/copy zines, archives, articles, local zine groups etc etc. So I can add to the growing resources section!

& don't forget I'm always open to stocking your zines / other DIY artwork - so show me your work anytime.

I hope you've enjoyed this newsletter! If you didn't sign up for this, it's because you've bought something from me in the past & I think you'd like the info here. You can support my work + pen fight by telling your pals about us, ordering something from the shop, sending a lil donation or subscribing to bi-monthly zine packages via Patreon

Take care,
