Our final Nerds in NoMa event of 2017 is TONIGHT!

GREENING THE CITY

The panel will be moderated by Tommy Wells, director of the D.C. Department of Energy & Environment, and will include Maisie Hughes, director of planning and design at Casey Trees; Anacostia Waterfront Trust executive director Doug Siglin; and Adrienne McCray,  senior associate at landscape architecture firm Lee & Associates.

Spaces Opens on April 24!

International coworking company Spaces will be opening its newest U.S. location in NoMa at the revitalized Uline Arena. This will be an inspiring, beautifully designed environment where ideas develop, businesses build, and relationships evolve. Spaces NoMa will have super-fast, unlimited WiFi to ensure everyone can work quickly and efficiently.

Next "NoMa Green" Meeting

Landscape architecture firm Nelson Byrd Woltz has been hard at work refining the concept design for the future “NoMa Green” (a working name; the park's final name has yet to be determined), located on Harry Thomas Way NE, just south of R Street NE. Join us on Monday, April 24, 2017, for a presentation and Q&A session of the refined concept design for what will be the largest space built out as part of the comprehensive NoMa Parks plan.
 
This Community Meeting will begin at 6:30 PM and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn (1225 First Street NE). RSVP here.

POW! WOW! DC 2017 RETURNS MAY 18-30

POW! WOW!, the global art movement that celebrates culture, music, and art worldwide, is taking over the District for 13 days this May as POW! WOW! DC. Local, national, and international artists will convene to enliven NoMa buildings, walls, and streets with their murals. POW! WOW! DC is led by District artist Kelly Towles, along with many great partners and volunteers.

Stay tuned for more information in the weeks ahead, including a big kickoff party as well as curated tours of completed artworks.
