Hi Everyone,
As we head into Spring, I’m busy responding to invitations to talk about our work in the Women in Tech Project and the continuing interest in the evolution of Contextual Design. You can hear me speaking around the country — and in a new podcast from UXpod.
UXpod: Design for Life: An Interview with Karen Holtzblatt
Host Gerry Gaffney and I talk about being on design teams, the importance of immersing yourself in your customers’ lives to get the right data for design, and using Contextual Design in today’s multi-device, “always on” world. My thanks to Gerry for a great conversation! Listen to the podcast or read the transcript.
Be sure to get our new book, Contextual Design 2nd Edition, Design for Life. Hugh Beyer and I have completely written the classic edition, covering how we’ve changed Contextual Design and the new techniques for the Cool Concepts.
In Case You Missed It: International Women’s Day Call to Action
Be sure to read my blog. I reflected on the lessons learned from how grassroots efforts transformed user-centered design and how the @Work Action Framework gives us ways to now make grassroots changes for Women in Technology.
