Basically it comes down to this.

No question, Iridium spark plugs will last many time longer than platinum spark plugs, not percentages longer, but multiple times longer, while at the same time giving more consistent performance over their life because the spark plug gap remains more stable unlike platinum spark plug where the electrode can erode massively increasing spark gap.

Iridium spark plugs give more consistent performance than platinum (more stable gap) and need less maintenance than platinum ie checking the gap and adjusting the gap every few months

Denso Iridium Power - NGK Iridium IX - The differences

In my opinion, NGK Iridium is a more rugged plug. Built for a long life.

Denso have gone down the performance route with a super thin conductor. If you don't need or want a spark plug that can last 5-6 years (on a stock engine) like NGK Iridium IX and you don't mind paying a bit extra, fit the Denso Iridium Power.

The theory is the thinner electrode reduces the stress on the ignition system or increases the effective power of your ignition system if your ignition system is at it's limit.

This is the theory, you probably won't feel any difference with the butt dyno but if you are at the edge of ignition system power, the Denso should help more than the NGK.

If you have zero ignition issues and you want to spark plug with the longest service life, fit NGK Iridium

In summary,

NGK Iridium for toughness ie super long life and superior performance to platinum

Denso Iridium Power for ultimate performance at the expense of service life compared to NGK Iridium but still longer than platinum.
