IAEH members from across the globe met in Aarhus, Denmark, on April 3rd, for the Association's first Annual Forum. The agenda for the meeting included topics such as the work plan for 2017-18, next meetings and the new governance structure. 24 out of 35 current member organisations were represented at the Annual Forum.

Members also discussed the IAEH priority areas of interest for knowledge sharing. A list of nine key topics was presented and members selected the top three most important ones for host cities. Prioritising those topics, IAEH will work to gather and share resources.

Vote
Members voted and unanimously approved the incorporation of IAEH as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation under English law, overseen by the Charity Commission. An annual membership fee of £750 was also approved. The process of incorporation takes 8 weeks to be completed. Following that, the new membership structure will be in place. Next meetings
Meetings alongside relevant industry events.
Calendar of Industry Events
IAEH is planning to hold meetings alongside relevant industry events. The calendar is still open and exact dates and location are to be confirmed soon. Members are more than welcome to propose changes and suggest different events. The calendar on our webpage will be updated with information on confirmed meetings. Stay tuned!
Membership growth
Since the IAEH formal launching, the number of members has more than tripled. Further locations in Asia, Europe, Middle East and South America have enquired about the membership as a result of our attendance at the SportAccord Convention, earlier this month. The IAEH membership continuously grows as current members keep encouraging other hosts to join the network.
