RAIC Membership Survey

The RAIC board committed to a consultation in 2017 with its members, as well as Canada’s larger architecture community, on how the RAIC can best serve their needs.

A clearer understanding of what the architectural community wants and needs from the RAIC and what are the valued experiences that encourage belonging will be important going forward.

ACART Communications has been engaged to survey members in regards to our programs, policies, and membership value proposition.

By completing the survey, you will help RAIC create better member services. The end result will be a stronger Institute with deeper and more meaningful member engagement.

An email with details on this survey will be circulated later this week.

Dalhousie to Host Austrian Traveling Exhibition

"Getting Things Done - Evolution of the Built Environment in Vorarlberg" a globe-trotting exhibit from the westernmost Austrian province of Vorarlberg, is heading north after a stint in Toronto and Washington, DC.

The Austrian Cultural Forum has arranged for it to be shown from May 1st to May 20th at the School of Architecture of the Dalhousie University in Halifax.

The exhibit brings a unique perspective to an international audience. The province of Vorarlberg has seen its building culture develop along a special path with a movement beginning in the late 1950s and early 1960s called the Vorarlberger Bauschule (Vorarlberg School of Building), known for its sustainable and innovative style. Featuring 70 panels that showcase over 230 architectural projects with more than 700 photographs, the exhibit provides a creative approach illustrating the origins, different lines of development and the status quo of the distinctive built environment of Vorarlberg.
