The Kickstarter campaign for Season has just under ONE WEEK to go... At the time that I'm writing this, we are just over 75% funded and my heart is beating so fast when I think of where we might be in the next six days! 

Meanwhile, here is what I wrote in my journal this morning... Thank you for letting me share my heart with you here!



April 26th, 2017

Today, I would love to sell three Pepper Dresses, and I would also love to be completely ok if that does not happen. 

This whole kickstarter thing is starting to make me feel like some sort of stretched-out gumby-version of myself. Honestly, she's a gal I don't quite recognize from the more ease-filled pace of the past year and a half.

I just keep trying to picture how relieved I will be when we reach our funding goal... Does that make it some sort of manipulation manifestation? Deep down, I know that it's really just me trying to keep myself from panicking from all of the what-ifs.

How WILL I feel, though?

I will feel proud of accomplishing something so big, and humbled by having so much support from dear friends. I will feel excited about seeing our dresses being worn out in the wild, but nervous that it will mean people have a chance to either love them or hate them. I will feel ready to dig in and keep growing our mission, and ready to slow down and recover with a quick bit of rest. 

I will feel elated, relieved, energetic and grateful. 

I'm so thankful to realize that those are actually emotions I am lucky enough to experience regularly...

Elated when Gerard walks in the door after being away on a long trip.

Relieved to hear good news from our dear neighbor who is winning his fight with cancer.

Energized when I get a chance to pour into young women who are going after their dreams.

Grateful (right now!) that regardless of what happens with the success of these dresses, I still get to be a part of this beautiful, messy, colorful life that I love so much.
