From your Director...

Hello! There's a lot happening at the library and May is just the tip of the ice berg. The 2017 Summer Reading program will be packed with opportunities for all ages to participate. It's "build a better world" and there's no place like Greenfield to begin that journey! I'll look forward to seeing you at many of these upcoming events! Please call the library if you have any questions, ideas or  a desire to help out. The annual Library Yard Sale run by the Friends of the Library, Trustees and volunteers will be on Saturday May 27th from 9am-2pm - refreshments served!
 

 

Upcoming programs in May!

       Author's Chair reading

        Sandy Aborn's class will be reading their stories in the author's chair on Friday May 5th at 2:00 pm. Special guest will be your prior Librarian, Ms. Julie. Come and enjoy this literacy event made possible by the recent CLIF grant.

Mother's Day Tea

Tuesday, May 9th 3:30-4:30 pm Moms bring your children for a special afternoon designed just for you! Activities focused on getting to know each other and creating a scrap book page, some Mother's day poetry, refreshments,  in the spirit of an English tea, and creating a party favor.  Please sign up at the library asap!
 

Astronomy Presentation

                      Thursday,Telescope savy May 11th 7 pm
Paul Winalski will bring his presentation on phenomenons of space to include the formation of stars. Come be amazed by these incredible discoveries that puts our solar system into perspective! 

Arm Chair Travel with Steve Farrar                                  Wednesday May 10th  at 7 pm

Join Steve for the second to last of these enjoyable arm chair travel series. Steve will take us to the Rocky Mountain Parks this time. Come and enjoy the informative and intriguing details. Refreshments served. . .

Greenfield Historical Society presents "Rogers Rangers" a NH Humanities program in the Wensberg room at 7:00pm
 

Mentalist, Preston Heller to perform mind reading and thought projections among other phenomenal demonstrations in the Wensberg room for an audience of 12 years old and up on Thursday, May 25th

 

 


Stay tuned for an exciting summer full of educational, cultural and technical activities for people of  all ages! Including a Summer Kick off event to be held in June with a famous author and illustrator- thanks to a wonderful and generous grant from the Children's Literacy Foundation (CLIF).
