Dear members of the L.A. Diocese, bishops, and friends:

Church Attorney Jerry Coughlan has filed a statement of proposed facts and a post-trial brief, the final submissions to the Hearing Panel of the Episcopal Church. Similar filings by Bishop Jon Bruno are imminent this week. After that, the Title IV complaint against Bishop Bruno will be entirely in the hands of the Hearing Panel to formulate a decision and recommendations.

We thank Mr. Coughlan, the members of the Hearing Panel, and The Episcopal Church for graciously taking this matter with the seriousness that it deserves, and for giving us the opportunity to publicly state our case.  We also want to thank the Hearing Panel members for their time, effort, wisdom and prayers in the coming days as they consider the way forward.

The Hearing Panel is under no time constraints in its deliberations, and a decision could be reached and announced at any time.

In the meantime, we continue to worship at the Newport Beach City Hall Community Room. Please know that you all are welcome to join us in worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

We will of course continue to keep you apprised of new developments.

Thank you for your continued support as we all pray for reconciliation.

Yours In Christ,
The congregation of St. James the Great Episcopal Church
