Floral paintings offer an opportunity that can be rare in landscape paintings: color! I live in an area where flowers grow very easily, and it is a pleasure for me to pull out colors that I infrequently use: cadmium orange, red, and yellow. Flowers are so intense, that the colors can be used straight out of the tube. This can certainly be a welcome change from the many grays I may use throughout the winter months.

Fortunately, my January workshop in Hawaii offered some flora and fauna paintings that I was able to do from life -"on the spotters". My students and I enjoyed the warm late mornings and afternoons painting these unusual (to us) but brilliant patterns of deep reds. Something we certainly couldn't have done at home during that time, not in the ice and snow!

We are looking forward to another workshop in Hawaii next January. This one will be in Honolulu on Waikiki Beach. Ann is lining up venues to paint, and I am sure we will have ample opportunity to paint the beautiful flowers of this tropical paradise.

In the second 45 days from date of purchase, no refunds are given, however you have up to 45 days to receive full credit toward an equal value of artwork or apply the credit toward another art selection of more value with a balance due for the difference. The balance due must be paid before shipping.

Shipping the artwork back to us is at your expense and must be returned in its original condition. If there is damage to the artwork the refund or credit becomes null and void. Shipping and Handling charges are not refundable and are in addition to the painting price.

He is one of the few to be awarded both the GOLD MEDAL and DOLPHIN FELLOW from the oldest and most prestigious watercolor society, AMERICAN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY, NEW YORK. Wiegardt Studio Gallery is in the home of Eric's great grandfather, Heinrich Julius Wiegardt, an oystering pioneer from Denmark.

The home, now the gallery, was built in 1897.

Eric and Ann, since 1985, have owned and operated Wiegardt Studio Gallery. They have raised five wonderful children.
