NEW BANNER DESIGNS FOR MEETUP PAGES
Hackster's new graphic designer, Billy, has been busy creating fantastic new designs for all of Hackster and has made Hackster Live a logo of its own!
In addition, he created a few banner designs (including the one above) with the new logo that you can add to your meetup pages. Check them out here.

Ambassador Requirement Reminder |
MONTHLY REQUIREMENT REMINDERS:
This is a friendly reminder about ambassador requirements for sponsored meetups. The reason we have these requirements is not to make it hard on you - that's the last thing we want - but rather to provide our sponsors with a service.
Our sponsors spend thousands of dollars to provide ambassadors and their meetups with free hardware each month. In return, Hackster guarantees a workshop from each of our live chapters monthly, promotion via photos and social media, and projects created and posted on Hackster using the provided hardware.
Take a peak at the requirements below and contact Katie or Monica with any questions.
- Absences
- If you know you will be on vacation or too busy to meet requirements for a given month, please let us know so that we can suspend your hardware shipments and Emburse until your return.
- Monthly Meetups
- Ambassadors should be running events monthly featuring the sponsored hardware or software.
- All Hackster meetups should be posted on your Hackster Live Page each month.
- You should be encouraging members to join Hackster and your Hackster Live page to check in/RSVP to events.
- Projects
- For sponsored months, each chapter should have at least one project featuring the hardware or software posted to their live page.
- You post a project within approximately two months from the first day of the sponsored month.
- (e.g. April's sponsor was Intel. A project using the Arduino 101, should be completed by the end of May)
- Photos
- Post photo album links to #hacksterlive_photos slack channel after each event
- Read more about photos here.
Email reminders will be sent out each month if you miss a requirement. If a requirement is missed two months in a row, we will suspend shipments and emburse cards and reassign the chapter as Quartz tier. Exclusions may apply in certain instances provided you have received prior approval from Katie or Monica. |

Sneak Peak: June Workshop |
CONNECTED KOOZIE
In June we plan to run a workshop based on this project, Connected Koozie, using Intel Tiny Tile, Node.js, Octoblu, and your favorite cold beverage.
To help you schedule ahead, we'll be letting you know a month in advance and adding our future meetups to the list of meetups you can schedule one Hackster. Also, we're creating a Hackster Live specific kit with Newark element14 that should be shipping in July. Fingers crossed! |
