We're really excited to announce between 24th June to 9th July there will be a celebration of arts, creativity and culture in Levenshulme

Based on the concept of the successful food and drink festival we are calling on creative types to support our two week celebration of all things arty, cultural or creative in Levenshulme and South Gorton.
Kicking off with the Levstock magical midsummmer picnic on the 24th June at the Klondyke, we are hoping this summer will be a summer to remember. The first Levenshulme Arts Fest.
We'll be send out more information during May and June, and if you want to be involved, we've created a simple online form to collect information. Then we'll put together a brochure and publicise your event alongside a host of others.

Remember... you'll have to do some work finding a venue and organising and running your event. We can advise and assist, but its about you, not us. Our role will be to promote it and create the buzz...
It could be anything... a music performance, live poetry, an exhibition, a workshop, a food related event, an arts trail, or a full blown theatre production.
For example, the Summer of Lev festival (on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of July) have also offered space for activities, or it could run at our launch on the 24th June. And Inspire have offered space for exhibitions and events.
Anywhere or anything in Levy or Gorton South will do. So watch out for more news, and get in touch if you have an idea for something you'd like to do, or see happen in Lev during the festival.
And to finish off... we have a 'choose the name' competition. We are looking for a name for it... the best, most eye-catching, creative name we can find. We've had some ideas, like Levy Arts Fest, Leve-tate, the Levenshulme International Festival (or even, just keeping it as 'the event with no name).
If you have a good idea, send it in and we'll award a £10 prize for the most popular, as chosen from a shortlist of 5 on a poll on the LevyMassive facebook group. Closing date for ideas to reach us is on the 7th May, send them in by emailing lca@good.co.uk, or via our facebook group.
(In the event you and others suggest the same name, we'll draw the prizewinner from a hat!)
