Chintimini News and Happenings
JOIN US FOR OUR MOTHER'S DAY OPEN HOUSE!
Come join Chintimini Wildlife Center at it's first Open House of the year on May 14 from 10am to 4pm! The event is part of Corvallis' Natural Areas Celebration Week. Enjoy guided tours of Chintimini’s educational facilities and ash swale wetland, children’s activities, a raffle, and more! Live birds of prey will be on display, and there will be flight demonstrations as well! We will also be sharing information about rescuing injured and orphaned wild babies. There is a suggested entrance donation of $5. Donations of animal baby care supplies and food are welcome as well (see CWC’s wishlist).

Natural Areas Celebration Week (May 6-14) is put on by Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, and the event encourages the community to enjoy our natural heritage through an array of different hikes, workshops, and lectures! For more information and to check out a schedule of events, click here

Level 2 Training

Every year CWC offers volunteers a chance to gain hands-on experience with additional training beyond what they normally encounter on shift. Emily Anne Martin, a Sunday morning shift leader, tells us all about her experience at the most recent Level 2 Training here
