With full hearts and big gratitude...

Big changes are afoot at Welcome Home! Tram and I will be moving on to new and exciting endeavors in May. We are so proud of our work and grateful for the relationships and skills we've built along the way. Together, we have accomplished so much in a short three years of building Welcome Home!

  • We created a vast and regional coalition of non-profits, community associations, small businesses and more!

  • We produced revenue research that continues to inform local conversations around the country for affordable housing solutions.

  • We have inspired, organized and trained emerging leaders for the housing movement across the region.

  • Finally, we secured over $320 million for affordable homes, including the first voter-approved ballot measure for affordable homes!

I have embraced wholeheartedly this awesome and incredible challenge, and now is the right time to pass the baton to a new and emerging leader in our community. Welcome Home is strong and ready to take on the next campaigns for affordable homes. I will always be grateful for this opportunity and your partnership on the journey. I look forward to continued relationships with each of you as we must continue this fight for housing justice.

Gratefully,

Welcome Home Coalition Director 2014-2017

Whether you've met me at an event, read my newsletters, or gone to Salem with me, I'm so grateful for how you've embraced Welcome Home and the important work we do. Thank you for joining the fight - and the fun! I've had an incredible time learning from you all. You've taught me about the power of communities, stories and unity. Every interaction has brought me joy and inspiration to continue advocating for stronger communities!

Soon, I'll be moving to Minnesota to start graduate school and earn a Master's in Urban & Regional Planning. My work at Welcome Home has motivated me to learn even more about housing and community development, and I'm excited to dive even deeper into the subject so that I can come back a stronger advocate. This work won't end, and I know that you have the voices and tools to carry on the fight.

Sincerely,

Tram Hoang
Communications and Engagement Manager 2016-2017
