Let Me Introduce You to. . .
GRACE. . .God's grace. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8) God's grace alone saves you. None of our works will ever measure up, otherwise Christ died in vain (and He did not). Reminds me of the old hymn by Edward Mote:
"My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
It goes on to say that when the trumpets sound and Christ returns, may we only in Him (not our own works) be found. I pray that for you today.
Revive Texas
It began Easter weekend. . .for 50 straight days, several hundred churches organized into 10 regions around the area headed to the streets and door-to-door to feed, pray with, and share the gospel with thousands in the community. It's an event called "Revive Texas" and UBO has given a team at one of our partner organizations beautiful new Bibles to distribute; each one includes a gospel card and prayers sent from our prayer team. We just wanted to send an extra note this month to ask you to please pray for this event, the workers sent out in Jesus' name, and for those receiving the love, food, and gospel message from those who are the hands and feet of Christ in the community. In the Community
This week a mom with two of her young children, Caleb (age 7) and Sarah (age 3) came to pick up a delivery of large print Bibles and Christian living books for senior citizens in East Plano. What a beautiful picture of a family serving together, and what a beautiful example this mom is setting for her young children about what it means to be the body of Christ and the precious importance of God's Word. Thank you for serving. . .and serving together!

Homeless Directories
I stumbled across something really awesome last week--Our Calling has a guide booklet for the homeless in Dallas County--a directory of homeless services for shelter, food, medical care, and Bible studies. What a great idea! Order some to keep in your car (along with a large print Gospel of John) and be prepared to hand hope to the next homeless person you see. Go here to order
