Tech deals in the Nordics

Educated capital - Norwegian dyslexia aid software company Lingit is acquired by Verdane, while Optolexia, a company that identifies dyslexia with AI, raises €5.2 Million. Lin Education, a hardware and software distributor to schools, is acquired by Summa Equity. 

Enterprising software deals - In Sweden, fitness facility software BRP was acquired by Valedo, Monterro invested in life insurance platform Itello. TradeExtensions, a Swedish purchasing software company, was acquired by a US trade buyer for SEK 400 million. Danish Tradeshift acquired IBX Business Network from Gapgemeni, while Bahrain's Investcorp acquired Ageras, a Danish marketplace for professional services. In Norway, software conglomerate Visma shopped e-commerce solutions provider Trollweb.

Financing fintech - Mina Tjänster, that keeps track of subscriptions, got a SEK 15 million investment from Swedbank. Savings apps Qapital and Dreams raised $12 million and SEK 30 million respectively for further expansion. Collector Ventures invested in Lånbyte, that helps you switch to a better mortgage, and SEK 10 million in Mondido, a payments company. Deal activity in two robo-advisors: Sweden's Lysa is financed by private investors to challenge banks, while and Norway's Quantfolio was acquired by a bank.  

Entertaining acquisitions - Two Swedish streaming companies are growing with acquisitions. Music service giant Spotify acquired Sonalytics (US), a sound analytics company and MightyTV (US), a content recommendation system. Streaming audio books company Storytel acquired publisher PeoplesPress (DK), and another publisher, Telegfram (SE). Meanwhile, Verdane invested in mobile music-making platform Propellerhead. Kinnevik acquired 18,5% of cable network ComHem.

Secure investments - Finland's F-secure acquired Little Flocker to provide better protection for Macs, and Sweden's Bure invested in login security company Yubico. Denmark's Maj invest acquired 75% of gateway security company Icotera, and Evolution Equity Partners (US) invested $10 million in Danish LogPoint, that offers software for security information and event management (SIEM).

Consumer spending - The world's largest fishing community app, Fishbrain, caught another SEK 33 million financing from Telenor and others. Norway's Kistefos acquired phone directory company Digitale Medier 1881, while Norwegian online grocery companies Godlevert and Adams Matkasse (owned by Sweden's Linas Matkasse) are planning to merge. Smart personal storage is in demand and 24 Storage moved in SEK 250 million for further expansion. Sweden's auction site auctioned away SEK 30 million in new capital, while photo-platform Pickit picked up $4,6 million in a new round from Microsoft and others.

Digital HR growing - Sweden's employer-ratings company Careereye attracted SEK 10 million from Spiltan and others, while Danish people engagement software Peakon raised $6,5 million in a financing round led by EQT Ventures.

Healthy deals - Gym chain Actic is running towards an IPO, and Kinnevik invested a healthy $125 million in life-enhancing company Livongo. Fitness app Shapelink was acquired by digital training coach Twiik.  

Gambling on expansion - LeoVegas acquired an Italian game operator, while Betsson enters the Spanish gaming market by betting on local online gaming operator Premier Casino.

Consulting consolidating - Data Respons, a Norwegian digital consultancy, acquired TechPeople, and a Danish consultancy. IT-consultancy B3IT bought digital solutions provider Rebel & Bird.

Real money to Virtual Reality - Game developer Logotown got SEK 6 million in new financing, Augmented Reality company Hoylu listed on First North, and the virtual world Friendbase raised SEK 4 million and goes to South Korea.
