The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) has a chance to do what’s right—until they do, we are encouraging Dam Watchdogs to show up and give public comment at NID’s next board meeting tomorrow morning, April 26. Public comment is heard promptly at 9am for all items not on the agenda. One item conspicuously absent from the agenda is the topic of live-streaming.
Let NID know that transparency and openness are essential in maintaining the public’s trust and confidence. It is time for our local water agency to commit to public accountability and step into the 21st century. Not sure what to say? We have drafted suggestions for public comment talking points.
