UCSF Catalyst is Looking for a Program Director to Lead New Cross-Campus Drug Discovery Consortium

The UCSF Catalyst program is looking for a Program Director to lead the development of a new Cross-Campus initiative, the UC Drug Discovery Consortium (UC DDC). The UC DDC will support the development of early therapeutics projects towards the clinic with a network of drug discovery expertise (UC and external), seed funding and access to a wide range of UC Core facilities. UC DDC will support drug discovery related educational programs and will develop a strategy to ensure sustainability. The UC DDC development is initially supported by grant funding from UC Office of the President. Its sustainability will be dependent upon the effective development of industrial partnerships.

The Program Director of the UC DDC, will report directly to the Principal Investigator at UCSF and campus Co-Pis from the partner campuses i.e. UCSF, UCI, UCSD, UCLA and UCD (UC DDC Executive Board). The Program Director will work with the Executive Board to focus on the development of a strategy for project evaluation, selection and awards and an approach for industry partnership. Please note this position will be based at the UCSF campus at Mission Bay.

In-depth knowledge of drug discovery in an industry setting
