- Kids Camp--GLO was flooded by 6-13 year olds for 5 days and I was a small group leader. We went on a jungle safari exploring the nature of God (get it? haha) and these kids were really impacted by the Truth of the Gospel.
- Family visit--YEP! Dad, my little sister Audrey, and my Aunt Stacey came all the way across 6 timezones to see little old me in Zambia! They stayed for a bit under two weeks. It was such a blessing to show them my real life, what I do, and the people I love here.
- Student break--the students ended their first term and went home for a break of two weeks. The week they arrived back, they went on a mission trip to the north part of Zambia which I unfortunately could not join because they go through Congo to get there and Congolese border patrol and American passports mix about as well as milk and lactose intolerance.
- Moved house--my Russian roomate got married to a Congolese coworker so I got moved to a different house on campus. I am still in the process of making the new place a home.
- Gap year--Caring for the students has had unique challenges these days. One of the girls in my mentor group named Angela was hospitalized for a couple days with severe malaria. Some of the guys have been picking on each other, and I have had to lead discussions in working together. Everyday has a new challenge with these students.

ALERT ALERT: BIG NEED!!!
I have just gotten word from SAMS that I am running behind on finances and I would need to come home a month earlier than expected. My ministry is so relationally based that leaving early would interfere with my work and goals here. I would not be able to finish the gap year here and be there for graduation in the beginning of July.
