Happy Spring!

BACKHOE REPORT
Inevitably, spring and summer also mean it’s time for construction projects.  But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing, especially if you know if advance of construction on the calendar in your neck of the woods.
Patience is sometimes difficult, especially when it seems there are partial road closures and flaggers everywhere, but a wave and some tolerance goes a long way to make the atmosphere a little friendlier for all involved.
I just built a map on www.parkcity.org under the Government tab and Current Construction Projects that features a “Backhoe Report” that will be regularly updated throughout the building season.
You’ll see that primarily public (PCMC) projects are highlighted, but more impactful private projects will also be featured (like the Kimball Garage).  I hope you find this useful.

SIDEWALK UPDATE:
  • Project is starting May 15 with the first delivery of materials.
  • Staging area will be in the Brew Pub Parking Lot.
  • We anticipate demolition will begin on May 21 in front of the Eating Establishment.
  • Work will be done in 100’ sections.  Each section takes approximately two weeks.
  • There are six sections.
TEXT ALERTS FOR SUMMER EVENTS
TEXT PCEVENTS to 888777to opt in!
As many of you know, we piloted a text alert system during Sundance and for the Women’s March.  We are looking forward to using this system for the summer 2017 Events.  We decided to use PCEVENTS  as the general text alert for all events, and the Kimball Arts Festival will have  a separate text alert PCARTFEST. You can text to the same 888777 to opt in.    Please encourage your employees to sign up for these text alerts as it will be valuable and quick information that is pertinent for navigating events this summer.

PARKING TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
