Applications for the 2017/18 academic year are now being accepted by the Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies (CRCS) at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Applications for admission are due June 15th, 2017.
CRCS is a Master’s Degree program in Religious Studies, and a research and public education center based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Founded in 2000, the program uses English as its language of instruction and is open to both Indonesian and international students.
Information on application requirements and tuition fees can be accessed via the CRCS website. Scholarships for Indonesian students are available from a number of sources.
CRCS will offer three seminar courses during the 2017 intersession: Religion and Human Rights; Muslim-Buddhist Relations; and The Image of the Enemy. These three-credit (3 SKS) seminars will meet twice a week for three hours a session, for a total of twelve meetings.
We welcome applications from graduate students and members of the public. Courses can be taken for credit or audited. All seminars will be conducted in English.
The intersession seminars will be held from May 15th - July 31st, including a two-week break for the Eid holiday. The deadline for applying for intersession courses is May 12th, 2017.
