Mayfest Celebration - On Tuesday May 9, our Grade School students will be celebrating the Rites of Spring with in-school festivities. Your Class Teacher or Class Rep, if they haven't already, will be in contact with you soon if you need to prepare any items for this special celebration of spring.
Gardening Club - Under the guidance of Anne Pepper, this group meets weekly to help beautiful our grounds. Join us Thursday afternoons from noon to 2:00 pm to reconnect with the earth, pull a few weeds, trim back dead branches, and shake off the last of the winter! Community Forum & Social - Our Community Forum is scheduled for Wednesday May 10. The focus will be social and celebratory in nature. Join us at 7:00 pm.
Grocery Gift Card Update - Congratulations to Susan Connon-Wilby who won the $50 gift card for May! If you would like to stock up on Grocery Gift Cards for over the summer, please get your orders in by Monday May 15!
Felt Ball Workshop - After the success of the Felted Egg workshop, Ella Pedersen has agreed to lead another class on May 10 to teach you how to sew felt balls. Pre-registration is required at the Red Door Store. Keep scrolling to see an image of what you will create!
House Concert - May 12, 8:00 pm, Grade School Hall – Join Lorna Fortin and singer-songwriter husband Mark James Fortin, for an intimate evening of original songs and stories, hosted by the Grade 12 class of 2017. Help raise funds for their graduation trip. Ages 13+, minimum donations $20 (youth) and $25 (adults). Limited seating – reserve your seats ahead of time by calling Ronaye – 604-985-7435 x 0
"Best Tree" - Congratulations to our 8th Graders and Mrs Johnston for a beautifully decorated tree at Christmas! We have just received word from the Lynn Valley Community Assoc. that they have won a plaque for Best Tree in the School Division. Well done!
Grade 12 Play: Everything Can Happen (because everything is true) - Saturday May 20, 8:00 pm and Sunday May 21, 7:30 pm, at Studio 1398 on Granville Island. Tickets are $7 each (available from High School or Grade School Office). Seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets in advance (remaining tickets will be available at the door). Appropriate for audiences Grade 8+.
