This years Alumni & Friends Crawfish boil went great! We had a nice crowd filled with many different years of alumni from the TUCM days all the way to some from the '16 class. We had our first silent auction, started a hand print board for all alumni to make their mark and had live music. We hope to bring in more alumni each year for this wonderful day of fellowship!

A student leader Sarah Wright, organized a jambalaya fundraiser this spring for students to raise money for mission trips and conferences. With help from Stew Craig from University UMC, we had a ton of jambalaya to sell! We presold with tickets, set up at Wesley and were able to sell at University UMC and St. Johns UMC as well. We raised over $1500 that would go towards students mission accounts!

Laura Woodland St.Amand is a TUCM alum from the 1980s. Her roots stem from her mother and father who both attended around 1950 as well as her brother and sister. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English Lit in 1984 and worked in the office at TUCM and returned to grad school in 1988 graduating with a MSW in 1990. She met her husband, Mark St.Amand at TUCM, and her daughter Bernadette and niece and nephew have been active in The Wesley since their freshman years.
She experienced two wise and wonderful campus ministers while she attended TUCM: Rush Otey and Randy Nichols. Both are men of faith who supported and nurtured her spiritual growth.
She currently works as a social worker for the Department of Children and Family Services where she has enjoyed (while not all joyful) 27 years working with children and families in our community who have needs, experiences and life stories she could never have imagined. It continues to be a privilege and most humbling journey of learning and faith.
In her years at TUCM, she experienced friendships with people from different backgrounds and faiths, able to be a part of conversations, debates, and discussions about faith, religion, social justice and even politics; all in a very supportive and caring community. Her favorite part was the annual spring workday/crawfish boil, they were EPIC!
 

How can you be involved? There are a few different ways! You know we're always providing a meal for our students. You can sign up on the "Take Them A Meal" website. Here you (and your friends, your Sunday school class, bible study group, etc.) can choose a Wednesday night to bring a meal. to our students. The last name is "wesley foundation" and the password is 2907. Another way you can help is by considering to contribute financially. Your donations provide ministry opportunities for our students through food, scholarships for trips, and supplies for Wesley events. Lastly, we always appreciate your prayers. Remember to lift us up as you are with your small groups, between errands, before bed, or breaking bread with great friends.
