Wakefield Volunteer Fair - Members needed!

Wakefield Council is organising a Volunteer Fair in partnership with Nova. The fair will be open to the general public to raise awareness of volunteering and volunteer roles across Wakefield District with Wakefield Council and voluntary sector organisations. There is limited space available at the venue, so the plan is to have tables focused on geographical areas of the District. Nova is inviting members to attend on the day to talk to people about the volunteering opportunities they have available.
If you are interested in coming along and bringing some leaflets for your area, please get in touch and indicate which geographical area is relevant to your organisation. Please email events@nova-wd.org.uk or call 01924 367418.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2017

This week has been Mental Health Awareness Week, and the Mental Health Foundation is taking a new approach to mental health. Rather than ask why a large amount of people are living/surviving with mental health conditions, the foundation is seeking to get to know why too few of us are thriving with good mental health. Good mental health is something that should be cultivated.
