Changes & Big Projects

Hello, everyone! How are you doing today? I'm sorry there was no April newsletter. I was working on getting my first house with my husband and then I lost my job, so that entire thing went ka-splat. It's okay though — I don't think I have ever felt so confident in TrainerKelly's Network before. I know that seems totally unrelated, but that's okay.

I would love to say I am not anywhere close to where I need to be, but I know that's a lie. I'm moving forward pretty steadily. Yes, I am still looking for a day job, but that's mostly out of a sense of obligation and for paying some bills than anything else, but even that is feeling unnecessary (I must be delusional right now).

Changes

Besides from the obvious one in the opening paragraph, there are some schedule changes. Specifically, anything scheduled for release in July or August will be out in September instead. If I can release something in July, GREAT! If not, September it is.

Another major change is that my website is now encrypted! It uses HTTPS instead of HTTP to keep your browsing and my posting more secure. The reason for such an upgrade is for an ONLINE SHOP hosted right on my website! I have one currently on Storenvy that I hate to death and have zero motivation to go on, but the one on the TKN right now is pretty gorgeous.

I will also be transitioning to 100% digital artwork (currently, I sketch traditionally) starting with Naitmarians' Day. I'll admit, I didn't really want to make this transition, but it is important for me to be able to produce lots of content in a shorter time frame without reducing quality.

Projects

1.) Fairies' Day
This is a 4-panel comic series that was scheduled for release in July. This is one of the series that will most likely be out in September instead. As of right now, all 36 strips are drawn and up to strip #14 is pencil-lined & scanned. This, I suspect, will be my last traditionally-sketched comic (maybe besides MAKE ME A MODEL). I'm scared, but it is a necessary change.

2.) Naitmarians' Day
This is also a 4-panel comic series that was scheduled for July. I have not started it yet. It will be released in September, alongside Fairies' Day unless I get it done a lot earlier. I will be doing this one 100% digitally, minus...I think the first two strips.

3.) Fairy Glimpse/Naitmarish Glimpse/Kehllish Gleam
These are the 1-panel comics that are posted on Instagram & Patreon, as well as on TKN itself casually (i.e. whenever I do an update and don't forget). Fairy Glimpse is currently running on Instagram and has been finished on Patreon. Kehllish Gleam is scripted. Additional Fairy Glimpse/Naitmarish Glimpse comics have yet to be scripted, but hopefully that comes sooner than later. All of the comics will be done digitally for the next round.

4.) MAKE ME A MODEL
It is still on hiatus and will be released in September with everything else. I am currently debating if I continue it on its traditionally-sketched path OR do I transition it to digital, after completing the pages I have already sketched? Let me know what you think!

5.) Online Shop
I have been working on this non-stop since Thursday or Friday last week. I am excited for it to debut, but adding all the product has left me needing a break. Switching over to a different project for a little bit sounds like it would be a great idea for right now, despite how badly I want to get the shop up and running. I plan on sending out another e-mail once it's up.

I almost didn't want to send this out until it was done, but I am uncertain about when it will get done. I still have to finish putting product on the store (I have 4 more stickers to add, plus a slew of (currently) online exclusive products I haven't even figured out yet), add the shipping weights, add product tags where I haven't done them yet, create ads to post up across social networking pages, make the slide images for the homepage, make the category images, double check all the pages and product, take physical picture samples...and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. There's just a lot.

When I send out the e-mail, announcing it is open, I will be giving you guys a discount coupon to use. Whoo!!
