The official ceremony recognizing the designation of Freedom Riders National Monument. Meet & greet with Freedom Riders and our new National Park Service ranger. Live music, food and craft vendors, presentations by area youth, passport stamp station, activities for children and more.

Anniston is filled with architectural gems, from Victorian “painted ladies" to historic churches to its historic districts. Learn more about Anniston's architectural history when architect David Christian conducts a walking tour of the Downtown Historic District during the May Makers’ Market on Friday, May 26 at 6:00 PM.

Alabama Department of Transportation is holding public involvement meetings across the State to allow comment on the proposed Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. ALDOT will host a meeting in Anniston on Thursday, May 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Anniston City Meeting Center, Room A. To review the plan in advance, contact ALDOT (334) 353-6554.
