Whether managing regular treatment or deescalating a crisis, it is imperative that Care Coordinators, providers, family members, and caregivers know how and when to access care for their patients /loved ones with mental health conditions. This fact sheet provides an overview of care options in Indiana and provides crisis hotline numbers. When a child needs resources related to intensive, community-based wraparound services, a community access site may provide those resources, guidance and information. Suicide.org also provides multiple suicide and crisis access points and hotlines throughout the state. Care Coordinators are encouraged to help families of children and youth with mental health conditions create a crisis plan, which may include specific service access points, applicable and local suicide and crisis hotlines, and steps to manage and deescalate the crisis.
