The Reconciling Ministries Team invites all persons to a Town Hall meeting this Wednesday, May 17 at 6:00pm in the Christian Life Center. We will discuss our recent Straw Poll regarding a proposed "Statement of Welcome" and answer questions from our community regarding the statement. Pizza & salad dinner served at 5:30pm. We hope you will join us!

CUMC will be hosting Family Promise May 28-June 4. Volunteers are needed for overnight (Tuesday, 5/30 and Wednesday, 5/31 already covered), evening and Saturday meals, evening volunteers, move in and move out crew and volunteers to do laundry mid-week and end of the week. For meals, a list of allergies and total number to be fed will be shared the week before our host week. Please contact Kristin Goodenow at kristig@clemson.edu to volunteer.

As we prepare to say farewell to beloved staff team members Rev. Megan Boatwright, Jad Taylor, and Trevis Young, we invite the Clemson UMC community to share in love offerings for each of them as they depart. You may give to these offerings by placing your gifts in the offering plates/baskets on Sunday, dropping them by the church office Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm, mailing a check to Clemson UMC, PO Box 590, Clemson SC 29633, or online by visiting our website at www.clemsonumc.org. Please indicate the staff member you are gifting and the amount so that we might designate the funds appropriately. The offerings will be received through Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Join us on Sunday, May 28 as we celebrate and give thanks to God for the ministries of Rev. Megan Boatwright, Jad Taylor, and Trevis Young as they depart from our church staff after years of meaningful service to our church and the larger community. We will have a catered luncheon and program from noon to 2pm in the Christian Life Center. Come to worship and stick around to join the church family as we celebrate these special people and pray God's blessing upon them.

On Sunday, June 4 we will have two worship services: our 8:30am traditional service and one combined service at 10:30am in the Christian Life Center. June 4 is Pentecost Sunday, and at Clemson UMC we will also celebrate Confirmation on this day. Join us as we celebrate not only the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Church but also 17 of our youth who will confirm their faith after completing a three-year Confirmation process with mentors from our church family. It will be a wonderful celebration for our church, and we hope to see you there!

We are hiring for the position of Director of Youth Ministry and Worship Leader for The Vine!!!
The Director of Youth Ministry/Worship Leader for The Vine will provide dynamic leadership and oversight to the youth ministry program at Clemson United Methodist Church, equipping youth and their families to grow in their faith and discipleship, and develop and direct The Vine Band, lead music for The Vine worship service, and work to provide an engaging, meaningful and high-quality worship experience.

Middle School Mission Mania - June 11-16 in Clemson. Mission Mania is an exciting mission camp for rising sixth through eighth graders. Partnering with Union UMC from Irmo, SC, Mission Mania participants will have fun serving in small groups at different mission sites around the Clemson area throughout the week. We will stay each night at Clemson UMC to enjoy all the fun of an overnight camp. Mission Mania is $50, which includes all meals, transportation, and a t-shirt. Register at clemsonumc.org/missionmania by May 8 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Registration closes May 28. All friends are welcome and encouraged to participate!
