Kids in Museums Takeover Day - Planning and Sharing Event


Venue: Tullie House Museum

Kids in Museums Takeover Day is a day when young people and children nationwide are given powerful, meaningful, decision-making roles within museums, galleries, libraries, archives, arts organisations and heritage sites.

SPECTRUM 5.0 Consultation Draft Now Available


Collections Trust have launched a draft of SPECTRUM 5.0 and would value your comments and questions during the consultation period, which ends on 31 May 2017.

Launch of the Weston Loan Programme 


Art Fund have announced the launch of the Weston Loan Programme, supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation. The programme is designed to support the wider sharing of national collections with museums across the UK and will will open for applications in July, 

The scheme will be introduced at TEG's forthcoming Preparing to Borrow Workshops, which include a NE event taking place at Palace Green Library on 26 May.

TEG Lending and Borrowing Survey 2017


Complete the Touring Exhibitions Group (TEG) Lending and Borrowing Experiences Survey 2017 and win a TEG Preparing to Borrow workshop place and travel bursary.

The Lending and Borrowing Experiences Survey will take approximately 10 minutes, or less, to complete and will help TEG gain a snapshot of loans practice in the UK today; the approaches being taken, as well as the benefits and challenges.

Core Museum Skills Training Programme 2017/18  

  • Would you like to broaden your knowledge and skills?

  • Do you work in a museum in the North East of England?
Then the Core Museum Skills Training Programme could be for you…
 
The Core Skills Programme is a ten session course delivered by Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums (TWAM) and covers a wide range of areas. Each session is led by a specialist currently working in the sector with up-to-date, first hand knowledge and experience.

ACE Retail Forum

You are invited to the 1st Association of Cultural Enterprises (ACE) Retail Forum being held in the North East region, as part of the Retail Resilience Programme - a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, experience and learning from each other.
