Who else absolutely LOVES the smell of honeysuckle?

I just can't get enough. Sadly, it's a smell that doesn't last nearly long enough. All of the honeysuckle is in full bloom right now, and my house is literally surrounded. I'm sitting on my porch as I type, and this is the most heavenly smell in the world, coming at me from every direction.

Well...except for the occasional whiff of whatever the heck died out here...I'm thinking it's an armadillo. Thank God for nature's air freshener!

I love the smell of honeysuckle so much that I'm about to go clip some and put it in vases all over my house. IF I don't fall into the temptation of plucking the blooms and tasting the sweet nectar, the smell should linger for a couple of days.

While we're on the subject, I'd love it if you visited my post Honeysuckle Air from May of 2015. I tried really hard to take you there...or bring you here...so you could imagine the fragrance. If you can't imagine it, get out into the country and take a drive with your windows down. I'm telling you, it's worth the gas you'll burn!

I hope you're all having an amazing spring, and that you have an abundance of honeysuckle in your own yards. There really is nothing quite like it!

What do turkey wraps have to do with honeysuckle, you may ask? These gorgeous wraps were made with Honeysuckle White brand turkey, and they look delicious! I'm sharing this pic (and the post) from Successful Homemakers, which is a blog written by a local woman whom I really admire...Laurie Bostwick. You really should check out her blog, because it's just FULL of wonderful tips, recipes, and encouragement for you and your family. I've been a subscriber for a couple of years, and I look forward to seeing what Laurie is going to share next! Besides, who says you can't cook a turkey in May? It's excellent on the grill, and these wraps are perfect for dining al fresco! Try this recipe, then leave a comment for Laurie and let her know what you think!
My cyber-friend and colleague, Laurie (we've only met in person once), has suffered a devastating loss recently. Her 17-year-old daughter, Natalie, was tragically killed in a car accident last week here in our hometown, and I have had Laurie and her family on my mind almost constantly. With two beautiful daughters of my own, her story hits me, and any parent, right in the gut. Please visit this post: Heartbreaking News and How You Can Help, if you'd like to reach out in some way to comfort the Bostwick family. Subscribe to her blog, lift them in prayer, or, if you're inclined, you can contribute financially through the GoFundMe link provided in the post. I would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help support this family. We bloggers do form a strong, supportive community, and you'll be seeing some great guest posts at Successful Homemakers while Laurie takes the time she needs to mourn the loss of her beloved Natalie. The blog is Laurie's job, and she does it well, so just visiting and subscribing will really help.
