Whitney Farmstead Spring Newsletter, May 2017
The blustery winter picture above is the Whitney family using our oxen, Odin and Loki, to haul our Christmas tree from the woods. Just looking at us all bundled up, smiling for the camera despite our numb fingers and toes, is reminding me to appreciate the glorious weather that is Springtime!

- Tiani Body Care -
Violet Tiani Whitney, my (Malaika's) sister, is starting a company called Tiani Body Care. She is sourcing ingredients from farmers and small businesses in Michigan and using them to make body care products such as foaming hand soap, lotions, hand salves and lip balms.  Tiani is our mothers maiden name (and Violets middle name) and also the name of the village in Italy where our grandpa Tiani was born and raised till he came here at age 16.  Check out her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tianibodycare/  to learn more about her products.  You can find her goods at Argus Farm Stop, as well as the Tuesday farmers market in Saline (3pm-7pm), and alternating Saturdays at the Saline (8am-12) and Chelsea (8am-1) markets.  Follow her Facebook page to stay tuned with her summer schedule and latest products.
I have been happily testing all of her products for months now and can truly say they are awesome, they feel and smell wonderful!
Thank you for your time, we hope
to see or hear from you soon. Happy Spring!
