Your Monthly Breath of Fresh Air

Cigarettes as Self-Care?

Dr. Emilie Salomons (a talented Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor at Acubalance Wellness Centre in Vancouver) wrote this very honest article about her previous "self-care" strategies that weren't necessarily serving her well.
This article reminds us that sometimes we can fall into patterns of "taking care of ourselves" that can actually be doing more harm than good.

The Handmaid's Tale: A Story about Resistance

The Handmaid's Tale is an iconic book by Margaret Atwood, now adapted into a TV series. This story is about a dystopian future where women have been divided into different groups that function to serve men/society in various ways. RESILIENT SOUNDTRACK

After our long dark Winter, the Beatles Here Comes The Sun can (hopefully) help us usher in Spring. Here's to a sunny Summer!

Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right
