The objective of this class is to expose students to a variety of Afro-Fusion/modern dance techniques. The technique investigated is mainly extracted from contemporary experimentations, but it also reflects experiences in Fagan, Limon, Humphrey as well as Graham techniques.

Augusto Soledade, a 2008 Guggenheim Fellow, is the founding Artistic Director and resident choreographer for Augusto Soledade Brazzdance. Brazzdance is a leading contemporary company in Miami, whose role is to seek innovative projects that create fresh content and outlook on global life, considering various cultures and becoming a vessel for relevant contemporary dance repertory.
