Hello!
Our May meeting is Tuesday 16th, 6.30pm, at the usual place, St Charles' Church Hall, 1 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG. As well as the usual agenda items we expect to be discussing planning applications relating to 1 Doune Gardens and 127 Fergus Drive (the old Curves). A meeting about the latter is also being held at William cafe, 94 Queen Margaret Dr, on Thursday 18 May, 6.30pm.
We also expect to be discussing the recurrent issue of parking problems. If this is something you're concerned about you may be interested in contributing to the Scottish Government's Improving Parking in Scotland public consultation.
Following the local elections earlier this month we look forward to building a strong relationship with our new representatives on Glasgow City Council. North Kelvin is now divided between Hillhead, Maryhill and Canal, with the bulk of our area falling within the Hillhead ward, which is now represented by Ken Andrew (SNP), Hanzala Malik (Labour) and Martha Wardrop (Green).
Next up is the general election on 8 June. A hustings is being held on Monday 22 May at St Mary's Cathedral, 300 Gt Western Rd, at 7pm, chaired by Prof John Curtice of the University of Strathclyde.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with our clean-up last month at Yarrow Gardens Lane. On Saturday 27 May the Greek Thomson Sixty Steps Preservation Trust are planning a clean-up of the Steps, 10.30am to 12.30pm. Please lend a hand if you can.

Thank you for reading. Please get in touch with your comments and suggestions, or if there's anything you would like to see on a future meeting agenda.
Best wishes
