A Look Inside TRJ #75

We've long been fans of Harry Luzader's Arbor Green 1932 Ford five-window, and we're excited to tell its full story in issue #75. The Pennsylvania-based coupe was a consistent winner in NHRA Gasser competition in the '60s and '70s. It's now being restored by John Dominick in his Pittsburgh-area garage.
The all-new Rodder’s Journal #75 is hot off the press and we’d like to give you an exclusive glimpse at what’s inside. On the newsstand cover, we have Harry Luzader’s Deuce five-window Gasser: a coupe that we see as the quintessential 1932 Ford drag car. On the subscriber cover, we showcase Dave Russell’s ’31 Ford Victoria near downtown Richmond, Virginia—a few miles from where he built the car in his home garage.

Since this is our commemorative 75th issue, we’ve filled it from cover to cover with an extra special collection of hot rods, customs and racecars from across the United States. There’s a baremetal Fuel Coupe for the street, Ed Roth’s flamed F-100, and a rod and custom pair from master metalman Fabian Valdez. On top of that, we have a chopped, Cad-powered Deuce three-window, a preview to our upcoming Scrapbook II and a Rodder’s Journal retrospective with a three-page foldout. We’ll have a whole lot more about the new issue in the near future, but for now, enjoy this sneak peek.

Dave Russell's '31 Model A Victoria has been a long-term project that has evolved through the years. The Hemi-powered highboy was almost entirely homebuilt and is driven regularly.
The finished pages are getting cut, bound and will be shipped to subscribers in six weeks or so. Stay tuned!
