Happy Mother's Day!

High Pointe wants to express our appreciation for all mothers! We'll have donuts & coffee for you on Sunday morning.

Baby Basket for Flickinger Family

This Sunday

As a church, we'd like to bless Caleb & Kirstie Flickinger as they're expecting a baby boy. Their "Baby Basket" will be on the back table on Sunday at church for anyone in the church to contribute to and fill up the basket with gifts. Kirstie is registered at Target and Amazon.


Baby Basket for Garr Family

Starting This Sunday

As a church, we'd like to bless Joe & Sara Garr and their baby boy Sawyer. We'll be setting out a "Baby Basket" on the back table starting this Sunday for anyone to contribute to and fill up the basket with gifts.

Here are items that the Garr family would especially like:

  • Size 3 Diapers
  • Teething Toys
  • 12 month boy summer clothes 
  • 12 month swim suit


Lost and Found

This Sunday

This Sunday at church we'll be setting out all lost and found items. Please take a moment to look and see if anything is yours. We will be donating any remaining items.


MOPS Meeting

Thursday, May 18, 9:15 - 11 a.m.

All moms with children preschool age or younger are welcome to attend the MOPS Meeting at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona. Cost to attend this meeting is $5 per person. Childcare is available.


LIFT Jr.

Sunday, June 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

All ladies and young girls are invited to our LIFT Junior Event at Copper Creek Events Center. There'll be snacks, fun activities, and salvation testimonies.

HPC Summer Fest: 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run

Saturday, June 10, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

High Pointe Church is excited to welcome the community to join us for some outdoor fun at Clay Elementary! We are having our first annual 5k run/walk, and a kids fun run! Bring out the whole family for the festivities afterwards. There will be kids games and prizes, crafts, food for everyone, and some bounce houses! Everyone is invited, and besides the race registration, everything is free.
 

  • Registration Cost for Run: $15
  • T-Shirt & Racing Bib is included in cost
  • Kids Fun Run is for K-5th graders
  • Runner Check-in begins at 10:15 a.m. on June 10th

IRBC Youth Summer Camps

Pre-Registration Deadline: May 15th!

High Pointe wants to encourage our youth and families to take advantage of the opportunity to attend Iowa Regular Baptist Camp this summer. Brochures and registration forms are available on the resource table.
Pre-registration deadline is May 15th, so make sure to fill out a registration form and return it to Tim & Jonna O'Tool. There is a $25 late fee after May 15th. Scholarships are available through HPC.
 

  • June 12-17: Jr. Boys (going into 4th-6th grades)
  • June 19-24: Jr. Girls
  • July 10-15: Jr. High (going into 7th-9th grades)
  • July 24-29: Sr. High (going into 10th-2017 graduates)

Prayer Requests and Praises

Sydney Veach: China Mission Trip

Please pray for Sydney Veach (daughter of HPC member, Deanna Veach) as she prepares for a missions trip to China through the Salt Company college ministry from Cornerstone Church in Ames. Pray for Sydney's group as they spread the gospel this summer.

Future Building for HPC

Pray for our leadership as they continue to pray and seek God's will and direction on purchasing land for a permanent location for High Pointe.
