WHAT DOES MOTHERHOOD MEAN TO YOU?

If you have kids (or grandkids) in your home now, or are close with your own mother, the Mother's Day holiday is likely full of love and joy.

But what if you don't have children, or the kids have moved out, or your own mother has passed away? We wanted to take a few moments to celebrate mothers of all types and experiences, and to shine the spotlight on all of the ways that mothers and mother figures can make a difference.
After raising two biological children, Rose Ann DeVito found herself with a big, empty home and a lot of love left to give. So at 65, she decided to change the lives of some kids who in turn, changed her.
Bethanne Weiss is one of the many daughters-turned-caregivers in America, and she found her life turned upside down when she needed to become a mother figure for her own parents.
Bree Sandlin doesn't let a single day go by without feeling gratitude for her two boys. It was a long path to motherhood, and her story is a testament to the power of love and of the human spirit.
Joe Fraley spent the last weeks and days of his mother's life not in sadness, but in celebration. Even as she slipped away to the late stages of Alzheimer's disease, he found ways to show her his love.
However you are spending this Mother's Day weekend,
we hope it's full of joy.
